The BIG opening day arrived when I finally got my email with my mission call. Since my friends all had to come home from their missions due to COVID I was able to invite many of them to be outside with me while I read my call. All of my family was also home since COVID has shut down the world. We were able to stream it live over Facebook.

Tyler has been called to serve in the Japan Kobe Mission. His language training will begin August 5th!!
We are ECSTATIC!!! My dad served in that mission so all of his fun mission stories have come rushing back into my mind (plus I know how to sing "Mary had a little lamb" in Japanese so I am pretty sure I can help tutor Tyler if he struggles at all with the language.)
I'm not sure if it was normal for how nervous I was prior to Tyler opening his mission call. When Alex got his call, Birch and I were in Haiti on a medical mission trip so we didn't get to be apart of the whole "opening" your mission call. But it feels good...Tyler is a pro kendama player, loves his Sony camera, and I've been informed at the Olympics is going to be there too so that pretty much is sweetness. In all honesty, I'm just so proud of Tyler being willing to serve a mission. This is a big deal to be prepared AND be willing to serve and I do not take that lightly. I am grateful that Tyler loves the Lord and has a desire to share that love with the world...specifically the people in Kobe Japan. めっちゃ幸せ
